My name is Laura and I was born in Spain. I came to Ireland in 2005 and from the very beginning, I felt a strong connection with this beautiful country. Ever since I can remember, I have always had a big interest in people’s lives and helping and supporting people is my genuine passion. Before starting my career as a psychotherapist, I supported refugees in my role as a social care worker. Doing this work was when I realised that my passion for helping others needed to take a different form, in which I wanted to connect more deeply to people by listening to their life stories. It inspired me to look for ways how I could support people, even in extreme circumstances, to deal with their emotions and fears. Taken together, these were the key factors that led to my decision to undertake a degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist. I hold a BA Honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School. I am a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and I adhere to their Code of Ethics.
